These apps are great for creative kids who want to safely share their creations with their friends and family.
Sendy: Steam-Paint Kids Art
Sendy: Steam-Paint Kids Art is a child safe platform for creating and sharing art creations. Not your typical drawing app! Sendy integrates robots, steam engines and futuristic graphics to inspire your child’s imagination. There are many tools, but one of our favorites is the inclusion of rebus images for sending sweet messages in the app. To save and send from this app you do need a Juddly account, the child-safe platform developed by Mrs. Judd’s Games. All artwork created in Sendy can be uploaded to your Juddly account for parents to safely distribute.
Hi Mom! – Kids Photo Sharing
Hi Mom! is a safe way for kids (and adults!) to share and communicate. You’ll need to log into your secure Juddly account, a nice comfort for parents to know their kids are safe to take and create photos without worrying about inappropriate sharing. The interface is simple. Kids capture a picture and add a speech bubble to it. Create your own text or use one of the many already created for you. All images are sent to your inbox and saved to a Juddly dashboard for parents to access and share as desired.
Bitsboard – Education, Games, and Flash Cards App
Bitsboard is a completely customizable fluency and word building app. Open the app to find seven downloaded boards containing thematic images, text and speech that can be easily modified from the settings page. There are tons of boards already created that you can easily download for free. Can’t find what you need? Create a custom board. Each board can be used in (at the time of this review) three games: Flashcards, Photo Touch and Word Builder. The word builder game is really nice as you can either spell words letter by letter or build complete sentences word by word. Ideal for learning new languages, building fluency or changing up spelling practice.
